News & updates
New features, new content, and small improvements in Bestå — so you always know what is new.
Bestå 4.1 is now live on iOS and Android — the biggest release since PD3 support, and both headline features are free for everyone.
- Ordforråd — a fourth skill in the Gym. The Danish words that keep coming up at PD2 and PD3 level: 887 words across 21 themes — work, housing, health, the labour market, environment and more. Every noun is shown with its article — en ansøgning, et krav — with every inflected form underneath, and each word is spoken aloud and shown inside a full sentence. There's also a dedicated deck of the connectors (bindeord) that hold Danish sentences together.
- Games — practice that doesn't feel like studying. Ordle gives you a new Danish word puzzle every day, with a hint when you're stuck and the meaning revealed at the end. En/Et Duel is thirty seconds against the clock on noun gender. Tal-lytteren plays you a Danish number — an amount, a price, a year — and you type what you heard.
How to get the most out of it:
- Pick the theme you're weakest in, not the first one. Ten minutes in one theme beats skimming five — the words inside a theme reinforce each other, because they come from the same situations.
- Say each word aloud after the audio. Danish spelling hides how words actually sound. Hearing then repeating is what stops you recognising a word on paper but missing it in the listening part.
- Learn the article as part of the word. Read en ansøgning, never just ansøgning. There is no rule that predicts en/et — the pair is what you need under exam pressure, and En/Et Duel turns exactly that into a habit.
- Make Ordle your daily anchor. One puzzle a day keeps you touching Danish even on days you don't study — and the streak does the remembering for you.
The same vocabulary is also free on the web — browse it at Ordforråd, no app or account needed. When you're ready to train the rest, start with the PD3 exam guide or the PD2 exam guide.
Held og lykke med eksamen!
Three complete practice sets landed in the Gym today — two for Prøve i Dansk 3 and one for Prøve i Dansk 2 — each built in the exact task types, weighting, and format the exam uses.
- PD3 — 2 new sets. Each has 30 reading questions (short answer, multiple choice, and cloze) carrying the full 37 points, both writing tasks — email reply and essay — with instant 00–12 AI feedback, and the full speaking part: the Del 1 monologue plus three themes with six picture-description tasks.
- PD2 — 1 new set. 30 reading questions across all five task types, both writing tasks with instant AI feedback, and 6 speaking picture tasks.
That's 90 new reading questions, 6 writing tasks, and 18 speaking pictures in a single drop. The Gym now holds 27 full practice sets — 15 for PD2 and 12 for PD3 — so you can sit a complete set end to end, in exam order, as many times as you need.

Bestå 3.5 is rolling out on iOS and Android:
- Today Coach — your new Home — a readiness gauge gives you an honest estimate of how prepared you are for exam day, with a breakdown for reading, writing, and speaking. The coach points at your biggest opportunity, suggests one small "next win", and starts your daily session with a single tap.
- Weekly momentum — a green "This week: +N mastered" line shows how much you've gained over the past week, so you can see your progress building day by day.
- A guided first exercise for new users — instead of an empty screen, new users now start with a short, real exam exercise walked through step by step, with clear explanations of why each answer is correct — followed by a quick tour of Home. You can replay the guided tour anytime from Profile.
Held og lykke med eksamen!

New reading, writing, and speaking exercises just landed in the Gym — one new set for Prøve i Dansk 2, one for Prøve i Dansk 3 — each in the exact task types and format used in the real exam.
- PD3: 37 new reading questions (short answer, multiple choice, and cloze), both writing tasks with instant 00–12 AI feedback, and 3 speaking themes with six picture-description tasks
- PD2: 30 new reading questions across all five task types, writing tasks with instant AI feedback, and 6 new speaking picture tasks
That brings the Gym to 513 PD2 exercises (415 reading, 35 writing, 63 speaking) and 428 PD3 exercises (335 reading, 25 writing, 68 speaking) — over 940 exercises in total. No more piecing your prep together from random WhatsApp groups, hoping an admin doesn't kick you out for asking a question. Bestå gives you one place to prepare, in the exact exam format, entirely on your own terms.
New here? Start with the PD3 exam guide or PD2 exam guide, then see how to score full marks on PD3 reading.
Bestå 3.4 is rolling out on iOS and Android:
- Study Streaks — every day you practice builds your streak, shown on your Home and Gym screens to keep you motivated. Your streak stays in sync across your devices.
- Daily Reminders (optional) — opt in for a friendly evening nudge on the days you haven't studied yet. Turn it on or off anytime in Profile.
- More reliable AI writing feedback — we fixed an issue where grading could occasionally fail on longer essays.
Held og lykke med eksamen!

Bestå 3.3 is rolling out on iOS and Android:

Practise anywhere, then walk in ready. See the post on Facebook

New PD2 material is in the app, plus quick tips for each of the five reading task types (scan for keywords, match ads by unique details, check word type in gaps, and more).
Also added: 18 new speaking picture tasks and writing tasks with instant AI feedback on the official 7-point scale.

Paste the exact Del 1 topic you were assigned, and Bestå instantly builds a prep brief — structure, talking points, and what the censor listens for — then lets you practise out loud with follow-up questions.
In the app: PD3 → Speaking → Add your own topic.

New PD3 practice this week:
- 6 new speaking topics (Del 1) with prep briefs — alcohol culture, gender equality, Rigsfællesskabet, mental health, food waste, parental leave, and more
- Full mock exams — reading, writing, and speaking (Del 2 picture description) in real PD3 format
- Coming soon: paste your own Del 1 topic (now live as of 7 June)

The big PD3 update is approved on both App Store and Google Play:
- PD3 Speaking Simulator — presentations and unrehearsed Del 2 discussions with follow-up questions
- PD3 Essay Grading — instant grammar, vocabulary, and 00–12 estimates
- PD3 Reading Gym — factual questions, multiple choice, and sentence insertion
- Fresh exercises added every week

With written exams done, many of you are shifting to mundtlig prep. The AI Speaking Simulator lets you practise picture description and follow-up questions without waiting for a study partner — judgment-free, 24/7.
A big update was also in review: PD2 Del 2 partner conversations and the full PD3 expansion.
Reading alone can create an "illusion of competence." The AI Speaking Simulator in Bestå uses real exam prompts, asks follow-up questions out loud, and grades you 00–12 with actionable feedback — perfect for 10-minute sessions on the train or between errands.

v2.0 is officially out on both platforms:
- Reading — exam-style exercises with 1-tap translator
- Writing — practice emails with instant 00–12 grades (including V2 word-order checks)
- Speaking — presentation and picture description with an examiner that talks back
Thank you to 50+ beta testers who helped polish this release.

- Oral exam: mid-June to early July (your school sends the exact slot)
